How to Jam a Printer and Settle for Tie-Dye

Darren over at Problogger.net has put a call out for another writing project. This week’s topic is “How To”…If you would like to participate, go here for more information.

How to Jam your Husband’s Printer & Settle for Tie-Dye

1. Attempt to print an iron-on transfer for your upcoming Disney trip.
2. When it doesn’t work properly go to store and buy different paper to try.
3. Attempt to print an iron-on transfer again.
4. When it doesn’t work properly use husband’s printer. (logical at the time?)
5. Completely ignore the warning of this being ink jet paper, and you have a laser jet printer.
6. Ignore the warning about the specific printer model listed on the back of said paper, which you have.
7. Attempt to print an iron-on transfer yet again.
8. Panic when it gets stuck and is nowhere to be seen.
9. Find a quiet happy place as said husband takes an hour to dislodge said paper.
10. Wallow in guilt as husband attempts to clean rollers of said printer and tries to get it working.
11. Settle for tie-dying a Mickey Mouse head onto a shirt instead.

Usually it is the "not so fine moments" that make for the best blog entries.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who misses instructions! My most common: Lay flat to dry.

Cool tie-dye, though. :-)

Nice Mickey Mouse design. Did Disney make all the rides free for you guys when you walked around with the awesome design?

Way to screw up in style! A friend of mine used to say, if you're going to be a bear, be a grizzly. Printers bring out the incompetence in people, as I have demonstrated over and over. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Do you know my wife? Once she couldn't sleep so logged into my computer and crashed it. Then she woke me at 3am to fix it.
