Growing Up
Wahm bloggers network have a Question of the week that I enjoy participating in. This week's question is....
As a kid, what did you want to be when you "grew up? What do you kids want to be when they grow up?
When I was young I wanted to be a vet. I've grown up with pets and animals are still a huge part of my life. The problem with being a vet, is when I got a little older, I realized you had to be good with science. I don't love science, I love English! That didn't work out quite how I had hoped! The funny thing is, almost every job I've had from being a 911-operator, working with the cable company, being a bartender and waitress, along with a Skin Care Specialist these days, I never planned.
I grew into somebody who enjoys seeing where life takes me on a whim, and each and every decision I make I enjoy. I love that I've had various different jobs and rolling up on 40, I'm probably not done. Add author to that list, as now I have two books to my name, and who knows what the future holds. I don't plan out life, I let it unfold...
As for my children right now they go from idea to idea. My older son wants to make a lot of money, so he thinks of things like "Investment Banker" or a "High Ranking Official in the Services", where as my younger son has had the same idea since he saw the first commercial for Gaming School college! He wants to create, test and program video games. Time will tell where they head and what they end up doing. All I hope is that they lead a happy, healthy and fulfilling life enjoying what the do!

I always wanted to be a doctor when I grew up and then a pharmacist, but then I too ran into the science requirement when I was much better at English. I am only now, at 35, beginning to see what I want to be. Good luck to you!
